Cookie Policy
Last updated August 16, 2026
This page explains exactly what we store in your browser when you use this website and the tokenization wizard, why we store it, and how to remove it.
What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Local storage is a similar browser store, except the values stay in your browser and are only read by the page itself. Both let a site remember something between page loads - for example that you are signed in, or that you were halfway through a form.
Strictly necessary technology
We use only what is needed to operate the site and its authenticated team area: session and security values set by our hosting and database providers so pages load, forms submit safely, and rate limiting works. Without these the site cannot function, so they are not optional.
Wizard draft (local storage)
When you answer the first question in the wizard, we create a draft and store a random draft reference (an identifier and a secret token) in your browser's local storage under the key dsv.wizard.draft. This exists for one reason: so you can close the tab and resume your answers later. It is a random value - it contains no personal data, and it is the only way your browser proves the draft is yours.
If you clear your browser's local storage, that reference is discarded and the draft can no longer be resumed; you would need to start the wizard again.
Cookie consent choice
Your Accept or Decline choice on the cookie bar is remembered in local storage under the key dsv_cookie_consent, so the bar is shown once rather than on every page.
Team sign-in session
The internal team inbox is invite-only. When an authorised DSV team member signs in, our authentication provider stores a session token in that person's browser so they stay signed in. This applies only to DSV staff accounts, never to public visitors, and access is additionally enforced at the database level.
Analytics
We do not run any third-party analytics or tracking script on this website - no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heatmaps, no pixels. We record a small number of product events on our own server (for example: wizard started, brief generated, contact submitted). Those events are stored in our own database and are not shared with an analytics vendor.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind, and we do not build profiles about you. We do not sell your personal data.
How to control or clear this
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data from its privacy or settings menu, usually under "Cookies and site data" or "Clear browsing data". You can also use a private window. Clearing this data discards your wizard draft reference, signs team members out of the internal inbox, and makes the cookie bar appear again. Blocking strictly necessary technology may stop parts of the site from working.
